This post is more of a personal nature....on May 16,2015, my beautiful cousin graduated from a community college and will be attending UNCG in the fall. I was not able to make it to North Carolina so I was so excited when I got the opportunity to watch it from my house.
(when something big happens and you can't make the trip to NC you find a way to be there)
This might seem pretty exciting but nothing new to some. So, let me explain a little about this girl, actually, I will let my aunt explain:
"14 years ago a doctor told this exceptional young lady's father and I not to expect much as she may not even finish high school. For the first time in my life, I do not have the words to express how I feel. She did this on her own but had so much help along the way."
She has struggled throughout the school years but has always had her brother there to help her. Although he does not seem to be a "softie" he has one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen. He was never the type to need to study, everything just came naturally to him, but he would sit and help Kayde until she understood how to do it and I am so proud of him for his accomplishments, as well (he currently attends NC Chapel Hill). Her parents pushed her to be the best she could be and they never gave up on her. I am so unbelievably blessed to call this amazing family mine!
Kayde has inspired me to never give up, to dream big, and never lose faith that those dreams will come true!
Congratulations on your graduation day, Kayde! I wish I could have been there!
So I ask this question, what inspires YOU?
